The Pan-citizen Committee of 2013 Suncheon Bay International Garden Expo and the GTN(Global Taekwondo Network)-TV entered into an agreement on drawing international spectators for the success of the festival at Suncheon City Hall on Thursday, October 25.
Presided by Young Kyu Kim, Vice Secretary General of the Pan-citizen Committee, the meeting was attended by the representatives and members of both organizations. Sang Chul Yu, Chairman of the Committee and Ki Baek Lee, Publisher of the GTN-TV signed the agreement and some 10 executive members of the Pan-citizen Committee and 4 staff members of the worldwide taekwondo network witnessed the ceremony.
The contents of the agreement include the exchange of information, affiliation of responsibilities, and inducement of spectators inside and outside Korea in order to contribute to the success of the fair.
Publisher Ki Baek Lee said, "I successfully hosted the 4th Suncheon World Taekwondo Youth Championships as a managing director and I am willing to support this international garden fair wholeheartedly due to my close ties with Suncheon City.
Chairman Sang Cheol Yu responsded, "I am thankful to Mr. Ki Baek Lee and his associates for coming all the way from Seoul to Suncheon." He continued, "By signing this agreement, I am expecting a half million people to visit Suncheon and I promise the citizens of Suncheon will make use of every possible means to make the visitors feel at home."
Municipal officials and city councillors of Suncheon including journalists from regional media in the province of Jeonnam attended the meeting, which reflected the high expectations of the locals for the upcoming Suncheon International Garden Fair.
